Davies Mwabili alias "Inspekta Mwala" has been hospitalised following a grisly road accident that occurred along Mombasa Road on Tuesday. The popular comedian was reported to have been in stable condition on Tuesday evening even as the news spread fast on social media.
Citizen TV confirmed the report through their official Twitter handle assuring the public that the actor was not in danger. Details remain scanty on whether any other passengers travelling with him were injured or where he was headed at the time of the incident.
Mombasa Road witnessed a tragic accident over the weekend where seven people are reported to have lost their lives after a hearse and a trailer collided at Sultan Hamud.
Makueni County Commissioner Mohammed Maalim confirmed the incident revealing that scores others had been injured in the accident.
"Those who sustained injuries have been rushed to various hospitals in the region," the Commissioner stated.
Road carnage has been on the rise in the weeks leading up to the festive season causing various government agencies and officials to take action.
