The BOMA Project launches latest poverty graduation program in partnership the government of Kenya We are thrilled to have launched our latest poverty graduation program with PROFIT, the government of Kenya’s Programme for Rural Outreach of Financial Innovations. That means 700 businesses launched, and 1,600 wom en, supporting over 8,000 children, are now on a path to breaking the generational cycle of extreme poverty. We are grateful to be working towards the solution to ending extreme poverty in our lifetime.


During its two year run, the project will award approximately 100 major reporting grants and provide mentoring to support the best ideas for stories on development issues. Journalists who produce the best stories published or broadcasted in media that reach African audiences, will win a major international reporting trip.
