The FC Cup of Mwanza was hit by many strikers after the last season ended, the well-known players in the club's first VPL 2016/17 season were kidnapped by other clubs including Lion, Yanga and Azam.
Pius Buswita, Salmin Hoza, Benedict Haule, Emanuel Mseja, Jamal Back, Thanksgiving Kwasi are some of the players that were downloaded by other clubs from the Wooden in the registration window before starting this season.
Despite being left by a large group of players at the same time, Wooden coach Etiene Ndayiragije believes his seasonal team built on the basis of most young people is better than that of the last season created by Buswita and his colleagues.
